Dornik has a newfound confidence on new single “God Knows”

“God Knows” is Dornik’s first solo offering since his seamless, self-titled debut LP from 2015, and it pushes the idea of what a Dornik track can be to a logical, exciting place. The song’s 1970’s AM-radio vibe would allow it to fit comfortably next to anything on Bruno Mars’ recentĀ 24K Magic while never masking his charisma. It makes sense, then, that the song was produced by the 70s-mining act Jungle, whose own “Busy Earnin'” would sound great next to “Knows” on a summer playlist. It’s a joyful, intoxicating return, and perhaps the best display yet as to why Dornik is an artist we all need to watch.
