Tobias Jesso Jr. returns with his “Don’t” demo

Tobias Jesso Jr. released one of 2015’s best albums, Goon, as well as helping write one of the year’s best songs, Adele’s “When We Were Young.” “Don’t” marks his first material since, and is exactly what we’ve come to expect from the piano-based singer-songwriter. Like his best songs, “Don’t” is a no-frills export – just Jesso Jr., a timeless melody and lonely organ – each part magnified because of their minimal surroundings. It’s simple in execution and theme, but damn near intricate in its honesty.
