Lower Dens follow 2015’s ‘Escape from Evil’ with the seamless “Real Thing”

Just last year Lower Dens released the great Escape From Evil, and now they’ve graciously shared a new single while on tour, “Real Thing.” The song features production from Ariel Rechstaid (Charli XCX, Haim, Carly Rae Jepsen) as well as Lower Dens lead singer Jana Hunter. The song glides by effortlessly, forgoing the bubbling intensity underneath the surface of previous singles “To Die In L.A.” and “Ondine” for something more cathartic. “I don’t care about the real thing,” sings Hunter in her unmistakable croon, transferring her energies to the things she can control.
