After chronicling the best of 2015 so far last month, I’m back with a monthly recap for the hot-as-hell July we just endured. While the month may have lacked in quantity in terms of albums released, the quality of the month’s best is among the best of the year. As for the singles of July 2015, there were some phenomenal ones as well. From the returns of Beach House, Chvrches, Kurt Vile, Lana Del Rey and YG, to Disclosure and Sam Smith’s triumphant reunion, as well as Carly Rae Jepsen’s continuing masterclass display in pop, expect to see a lot of these tracks end up on year-end lists come December.
