ALBUM PREMIERES: Hooray For Earth, Jenny Lewis, and more

One of my favorite albums of 2011 was Hooray For Earth’s debut LP, True Loves. Now, some three years later, they’re following up that release with a new one called Racy. The good folks over at Pitchfork are streaming the album now, a week before its release, via their Advance music streaming service.

Check out the album by clicking on the link below. And make sure to support the band by buying the album when it comes out, plus check for them in a city near you on their upcoming tour.

Jenny Lewis returns with the follow-up to 2008’s Acid Tongue. This one is called The Voyager and features collaborations with Ryan Adams and Beck. Stream the album at NPR.

Also streaming on NPR is the ambitious new album from Sub Pop hip-hop act Shabazz Palaces, Lese Majesty.

Finally, Eric Clapton and Friends honor the late JJ Cale with The Breeze. Listen to the results of Clapton’s collaborations with the likes of Tom Petty, John Mayer, and Willie Nelson, courtesy of iTunes’ First Play feature.
